This month’s newsletter focuses on the implementation of the GDPR

On Friday 25th May, the new Data Protection Legislation came in to force. The General Data Protection Regulations known as the GDPR has replaced the Data Protection Act 1998. We issued Privacy Notices to our Learners and Employers and made them aware of how their personal data is used and who this is shared with.

  • On Saturday 21st April three of our Directors took part in Ultra Ballroom, I am Dancing to raise money for Cancer Research.
  • On Monday 2nd July two of our Directors attended a debate at Parliament to represent our organisation and our employers. The aim of the debate was to see whether there needs to be changes to the current Apprenticeship Reforms, particularly surrounding the 10% employer contribution for small employers, the 20% off the job training and the end point assessment.
  • From November 2017 until May 2018 we were conducting surveys for our learners on behalf of the funding body, we also sent our employers a link to complete the survey independently.
